This work was one of the First Draft gallery’s contributions to the Critical Spaces exhibition at Artspace, which examined the role of artist-run spaces. The third in a series of works using plants characterised as 'weeds'. Pressed plants covered the glass entrance-way and some of the windows through which one could see into and out of the gallery, including the male and female toilet windows and the Glare exhibition window. An accompanying text of footnotes made allegorical connections between fragments of scientific and historical information about weeds and human societal and cultural hierarchies.
